The Machine That Plays Pool Better Than You (Probably)

The new age inventions are bringing us up on a whole new level. Now who could have thought that one day there would be a machine that would play pool probably better than them. Or even if people thought, we all know that it is extremely hard to create such a machine.

The geeks over at Queens University created a master-piece. This fancy machine is fully capable of playing a match of pool. Equipped with a bunch of sensors, cameras, robot arms, etc. it gives a highly accurate shot corresponding to the data it already has.

The title might sound a little harsh. Sorry to have hurt your experience if you’re a professional pool player but even at this initial stage the pool-playing-machine is a slight above the amateur level. However, tossing the machine into complex table states might be enough for it to give you an ‘i-quit’ sign.

We might even expect to see such a thing at bars soon for drunk folks to fancy their games with an aided machine hand. I think there is still some developments being done on it. But what a creative mind these guys have got. Must appreciate that. You can check out the whole thing in action for yourself below:

Grieving Father Found His Baby Alive In Coffin

The doctors are getting weirder day by day. When it is a matter of life and death, they should be a million percent sure before they give any decisions. The story I’m going to share is around a month old and I had it in my to-write list.

Jose Alvarenga, the father of the ‘dead-pronounced’ baby was taken by extreme grief and shock when the Paraguayan doctors gave him the statement about his new born son. The premature baby’s body was placed in a temporary coffin.

Just after that, the grieving father opened the coffin one last time to see his son. “I opened it to look at his remains and found that the baby was breathing,” Jose Alvarenga recalled. “I began to cry.”

He went back rushing to the hospital with his son in his arms and as soon as he arrived the nurses placed the baby in an oxygen chamber. The baby was checked and he was in fact breathing.

The baby was now put under special observation to ensure that he was immune from any other difficulties a premature baby might have. Doctor was quite hopeful that the tragedy would not strike again.

The news of the recovered baby was then brought to the mother was was still in her ward room. Investigation by the hospital’s administration was then carried out to see how such a big blunder was made.

It appeared to be that the baby’s heart beat was so low that it was undetectable by the machine which led to this stupid statement being given by the doctor. According to medical records, the baby weighed just 17.6oz.

This is definitely weird. The doctors should be more sure about the condition before giving a statement. This is just another example of medical inefficiency.
